It’s a big day for us! Today, we showcased our SPIN Play SDK for Windows Mixed Reality at Microsoft Build Solutions Spotlight.
This app is the first of its kind for Windows 10 MR devices. With the SPIN Play SDK, brands can build windows apps to deliver quality 360 video content. Mike Swanson, Pixvana Senior Architect, describes the SDK capabilities:
“We’ve made high quality 360º immersive video playback as simple as a right-click, a URL, and you’re done. With our updated SPIN Play SDK for Unity, developers can target Universal Windows Platform (UWP) apps that work seamlessly with Windows Mixed Reality headsets like the upcoming Acer and HP offerings. Combined with the power of SPIN Studio, it’s never been easier or faster to get from capture to playback.”
Windows Mixed Reality is a game changer for XR. Supporting a broad range of mixed reality devices and experiences, it empowers creators with accessible and affordable tools. These are the first headsets in market that deliver built-in inside-out tracking! At Build, we’re showcasing SPIN Play on the new Acer headset and we can’t wait to try out all of the Windows 10 MR devices including ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo, and 3Glasses.
The player will be available in the coming weeks for a trial – sign up for Pixvana news and be the first to know!
